Journey Into Mystery #632 Review by (August 12, 2013)
Review: I love this comic. It is the most entertaining and enjoyable Marvel comic in my recent memory. And this Christmas issue is one of the most offbeat of holiday tales—murderous Hell-Hounds will do that. Kid Loki is the coolest of characters as well.

Comments: “Shattered Heroes.” First appearance of Loki’s pet dog Thori. Mephisto, Warlock, Heimdall, and Tyr appear in cameos.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Journey Into Mystery #632 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro
It’s Christmas in Broxton and the All-Mother persuades Volstagg to play Santa Claus in town while Loki is beaten up by the local bullies. He returns to the cave where Leah resides to discover he has a present, delivered by Hela, Goddess of Death herself. The box contains seven Hell-Hound puppies, result of the meeting of the Hel-Wolf and Garm, guardian of Hel in issue #624. Loki gives six away (to Mephisto, Gaea, the New Mutants, Heimdall, Tyr, and sells one over the Internet) but keeps the last, meanest one for himself as a pet. Despite everyone’s warnings, he names the little monster Thori and is certain they will be friends. Right.
