Samuel Sterns, the newly revived Leader, reviews his career: he was an ordinary man who was exposed to gamma radiation and became a high-domed genius. He discovered the Hulk and wanted to make him either an ally or a tool. But in his efforts to control Hulk, he frequently died, lost his powers, regained them at an increased level, only to be defeated again. In Hell he learned to have faith in himself as a godlike being and now he is starting a new journal. He steps through into Hell and finds Brian Banner, offering him another chance….

Immortal Hulk (2018 series) #34 Review by (June 24, 2020)

Review: It’s an all-Leader issue as he reviews his overly complicated life, leaving us with an overly complicated issue that is quite hard to follow unless you’ve been reading the Hulk saga since 1962 without a break. Butch Guice’s art is nice, copying every look the villain has had over the decades since his introduction in TALES TO ASTONISH #62. Not a lot to say other than that they do a halfway decent job of cramming a character’s history into a single issue.
