Moonstone wakes up in Hulk’s arms as Karla Sofen. Hulk sees her and, not looking like Moonstone, lets her go.

Doc Samson questions the green giant. Sofen sees her secret identity in danger and causes a vast explosion. The explosion threatens to harm her, and Hulk saves her. TV cameras capture the moment and the nation witnesses Hulk’s heroism.

As Plan B to prevent the Hulk from ruining her mission, Sofen shoots a beam at him; the Hulk goes berserk.

Doc Samson tries halting Hulk, as Moonstone shows up, starting a big fight. Hulk acts like a veritable monster in national television.

Thunderbolt Ross tries stopping the Hulk and sees how Moonstone turns into Karla Sofen. The villain takes advantage of the general’s fragile state and switches back and forth between her identities to cause Ross a nervous breakdown.

Seeing Ross faint infuriates Hulk who grabs Sofen. Doc Samson, who does not know Sofen and Moonstone are the same person, thinks the Hulk is trying to hurt a fragile woman, and jells madly at him. Hulk leaps away to avoid additional conflicts.

Also in this story: Jim Wilson. In flashbacks: Captain America, Moonstone (the original one).
