Doc Samson used a potent dose of gamma-ephedrine on the Hulk (last issue), so he won’t turn into Banner for some time. The psychiatrist takes the chance to study the behemoth’s skills. That leads to him gaining the Hulk’s trust.

Doc Samson believes Hulk can adapt to society as a civilized person. He hires a new assistant, Karla Sofen. Unknown to him, she is Moonstone, a villain after top secrets in Gamma Base.

That night, Moonstone sneaks through the labs, and Hulk discovers her. She attacks the giant, but gets defeated. As Moonstone faints, she turns back into Karla Sofen.

Everyone gathers to see what is happening: an angry Hulk is holding Karla Sofen up high, believing she is still Moonstone.

As this is happening, Thunderbolt Ross shows signs of a serious nervous breakdown.

Also in this story: Clay Quartermain, Spad McCraken, Kropotkin, Betty Ross, Jim Wilson.
