Rating: 3 stars

Haunted by the duality of his existence, Bruce Banner contemplates death as a release from the monster within. In a moment of despair, he casts himself into the void of the Crossroads. But death does not come. Instead, he transforms once more into the Hulk.

Suddenly, a radiant energy beam strikes him, latching onto his back like a cosmic tether. Hulk struggles to break free—leaping through portals, smashing barriers—but the beam holds firm.

From within the light descends the soul of Walter Langkowski, the man once known as Sasquatch. His own body destroyed in battle with the Great Beasts, Walter had sought a mindless vessel to inhabit. Unaware that he had ensnared the Hulk, he forcibly ejects Bruce Banner’s soul from the green giant.

Upon realizing his mistake, Walter releases Hulk’s body and prepares to return it to Bruce. But before he can act, a force from the other end of the beam pulls Hulk away—dragging him through the dimensional veil and back to Earth.

Walter Langkowski’s soul remains behind, stranded in the Crossroads, while Hulk is returned to the world he once knew—reborn, but not by choice.
