Doc Samson is able to separate Bruce Banner and the Hulk in two different beings. Bruce falls in a severe comma and is hospitalized right away. The Hulk, still unconscious, is taken away by Clay Quartermain. SHIELD wants to get rid of the Hulk. But Samson doesn't agree with that idea, and frees the Hulk. The mindless monster attacks SHIELD, killing some of those men. Doc Samson, aware of his big mistake, promises that he would caught and kill the Hulk.
