As the Hulk rampages across the desert, the Hulkbusters and Doc Samson unite in a desperate attempt to subdue him. The battle is fierce, with Samson torn between loyalty to Banner and his lingering sympathy for the creature’s tortured soul.
Back at Gamma Base, preparations are underway for Bruce Banner and Betty Ross’s long-awaited wedding. Rick Jones arrives to lend his support, bringing warmth and levity to an otherwise tense atmosphere. But the celebration is shattered when General Thunderbolt Ross storms in, armed and furious, determined to stop the ceremony at any cost.
In a moment of selfless bravery, Rick throws himself between Ross and Banner, taking the bullet meant for his friend. The injury, though painful, is not life-threatening. The chaos subsides, and Ross is restrained.
With emotions raw and the threat neutralized, Bruce and Betty proceed with the ceremony. Surrounded by allies and haunted by the cost of their love, they exchange vows—finally binding their fates together in defiance of every monster, every battle, and every ghost of their past.
