Synopsis

Captain America #33 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars

Protocide is being tested by his A.I.M. masters and his strength and agility is so impressive that the order is given for him to be sent after a live target....

Late at night, Captain America and the Falcon capture a pair of burglars trying to enter an office building. They give their names as Dawn Ridgeway and Josh Hoard; they reveal that Parliamech, a new internet service provider, is secretly gathering data from all its users. When Josh tried to expose it, he and Dawn were targeted by the company's goons and barely escaped. Josh knows all this because he started the company....

At SHIELD HQ in New York, new director Sharon Carter starts looking into A.I.M....

At SHIELD's Saudi Arabia training facility, Nick Fury arrives to talk about Agent Ferrari....

Cap and Falcon enter the building and ask the security guard to announce them to the Parliamech CEO; they are directed to an elevator. The car suddenly begins to drop; Cap pushes his shield through the door gap, dragging them to a halt. The car then fills with gas and the two heroes hold their breaths and exit the car only to battle robots. And then they discover that the gas can be absorbed through the skin and they conk out....

U.S. Agent is battling some A.I.M. thugs when Protocide crashes into the building, beats him up, smashes USAgent's round shield and then pierces the hero's body with the sharp edge of his triangular shield....

Captain America #33 Review by (April 17, 2018)

Review: Okay issue is mainly a set-up for the next issue's battle with Cache and for a later story where the Nick Fury subplot comes to fruition. Protocide is starting to look really scary and his day in the sun will be along presently. One odd note: Cap is portrayed as an old-timer who doesn't trust the internet and disapproves of facial piercings which seems a bit reactionary of him and not what we've come to expect.

Comments: First appearance of Cache (shadowed).
