Cap breaks out of the cage n leaps in front of the beam which strikes the serpent forcing it to release Cap. Nefaria tries to flee; Cap releases Sharon and Matthew and pursues the villain outside onto a rickety rope bridge that leads to Nefaria's escape craft. The baddie uses a remote control device to summon his ship, having it fire at Cap and destroy the bridge. Climbing up the wrecked bridge, Cap removes the device from Nefaria's ear and the villain plunges to his doom? No, Matthew swings down on a vine and snatches him out of the air....

Review / Commentaries

Captain America #30 Review by (March 27, 2018)

Review: A highly entertaining issue, wit Cap and Sharon bickering over their recent past, while held in hanging cages and Cap entangled in a giant serpent! And that opening plot summary by Mehmet Kemel to remind us what's going on! Then there's the battle on the broken rope bridge! And something-or-other with Connie Ferrari! Well, no issue's perfect. But this era of Cap is a lot of larger-then-life fun with Dan Jurgens' tongue-in-cheek attitude!

Comments: Part three of four parts. Something seems wrong here: when we were introduced to Mehmet Kemal in issue #21, we were told he was the Director of the Turkish Secret Service, mysteriously transformed into a dinosaur; now we learn he started out as a dinosaur and was taken prisoner in Turkey, so when did he becomes head of the Turkish Secret Service? Or were they lying to her in Turkey? Why would anyone make up a story like that? And Sharon calls him Barney after the friendly dinosaur from the US children's show BARNEY AND FRIENDS; if you've never heard of him, count yourself blessed.
