Incredible Hulk, The (1968 series) #359

Glorian attempts to destroy Hulk by conjuring a series of oneiric enemies, illusions crafted to break his spirit. But Hulk endures, refusing to fall. Suddenly, Mr. Cloot appears, revealing his true nature (Satan) and claiming Glorian’s soul. He drags Glorian to the Colorado Canyon, where he opens a gateway to Hell.

Hulk arrives moments later and hurls Cloot into the infernal flames. Emerging as a colossal Satan, Cloot strikes Hulk with a single finger, sending him flying. Realizing he’s outmatched, Hulk proposes a wager: a roll of the dice. If Hulk wins, Glorian is spared; if he loses, both he and Glorian are damned. Satan accepts—and Hulk wins.

Furious, Satan reneges and seizes Glorian anyway. Hulk tries to intervene, but the Shaper of Worlds appears, halting Satan’s escape. Defeated, Satan retreats to Hell, vowing revenge. The Shaper departs, taking Glorian with him, leaving Hulk alone at the edge of the abyss.
