Totally Awesome Hulk #3 Review by (October 28, 2019)

Review: A battle with Fin Fang Foom is always a highlight to a comic story though it seems a bit too easy here—and Amadeus even congratulates himself on doing it without losing control. More excitement to come next time as we learn how Amadeus Cho became the Totally Awesome Hulk!

Totally Awesome Hulk #3 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

She-Hulk tries to call the Avengers in to deal with new Hulk Amadeus Cho but Maddy Cho jams the signal because of the hero team’s poor track record of dealing with Hulks. Lady Hellbender prepares to blast Fin Fang Foom with an alien weapon but Hulk points out that FFF isn’t doing anything yet…and then a cruise ship comes into view. Hulk wants to protect the people aboard the ship but he is chomped by FFF and breaks his way out. There is a struggle between the two huge green monsters, and in his imagination, Amadeus is still at the wheel of the car but Hulk is now out of the trunk. Amadeus tries to convince himself he is still in control as he rises through the water to face his foe….

Kenya, four months ago: Hulk, in a containment capsule, is about to detonate; Iron Man and Black Panther, with Monica Rappaccini, must decide quickly what to do with Hulk to save the population. Amadeus Cho teleports in with a bunch of suggestions for dealing with Hulk but they’ve all been tried. Amadeus discovers they are planning to teleport the Big Green Guy into the Negative Zone and Monica sedates him before he can react….

Hulk lifts the ship into the air and carries it to safety—but meanwhile, Fin Fang Foom has reached land (Hawaii, to be specific). Hulk attacks the giant dragon and it spits acid at him; Hulk locates a (conveniently placed) barrel of sodium hydroxide and stuffs it in FFF’s mouth, neutralizing the acid and he decks the dragon with a single punch. While he is posing for the admiration of onlookers, Lady Hellbender, now that she realizes he is the strongest monster on Earth, sedates him and prepares to carry him back to her homeworld….

Spider-Man (Miles Morales) also appears but didn’t make it into the synopsis.
