Incredible Hulk, The (1968 series) #318

The Hulkbusters, now fully operational under Bruce Banner’s command, launch a coordinated mission to intercept the Hulk in the New Mexico desert. But Doc Samson, disillusioned by Banner’s militarized approach and still believing in the possibility of redemption for the Hulk, intervenes.

Conflict ignites as Samson clashes with the Hulkbusters, trying to prevent what he sees as a misguided execution. In the chaos, one of the Hulkbusters—perhaps the youngest or most idealistic member—is accidentally killed. The tragedy sends shockwaves through the team, fracturing their unity and forcing Banner to confront the human cost of his crusade.
